…and working up an appetite was the order of business. Sure, it’s weeks until a big day of big food, big games, and big sleep but we feel it coming so there’s no better time to work off those calories.

It was nice to be back at The Lion for a hard rocking Saturday night. School’s back in session (in more ways than one), so the place was packed to the gills all night long. You know it’s gonna be a good night when the dance floor is full from song 1. Yeah, a few technical issues, but 3 sets and 2 encores later my ears are still ringing. And it’s Monday. Yes, I’ve been asleep for 30 hours.

Last night was the 50th annual (not really, but I lost count) Red Baron Dog Fights. Kevin Miller and friends put on an amazing event as usual. 100 degree heat didn’t stop us from making things a little hotter (seriously, those amps get HOT) in Damascus, Oregon. I’m not sure what happened after we left, but if what happened while we were there was any indication everyone’s either still at it, or still sleeping. I’m doing neither. I’m typing. And uploading a million pictures to the (now working) photo gallery page.

We’re back at The Lion on August 2. It’s been a nice slow summer, but that just means we’ve been saving ourselves for you. See you there? You Betcha.
