Remasters are down with the B-shift!
We hauled ourselves out to Boring this weekend to help the B-shift from the Boring Fire Department blow off some steam. Apparently fighting fires and rescuing people all the time can build up quite a bit of it. I think this is the start of something longer term for those guys…

Well well well. It’s been a while since we did back to back shows (actually it’s only been since March but two months doesn’t lend itself well to the drama), and it’s still up in the air which one is usually the better of the two. There’s something to be said for an ass kicking Saturday night crowd, but there’s also a lot to be said for having a whole night of warmup before hitting the stage again and using good old muscle memory to focus on performance over playing. Eh, hell, both nights were kick ass. Who am I kidding.
And then there was Sunday. The first pic kinda says a lot, but once we got over the hump we just chugged right along…

Happy birthday Valerie, Bo, what’s his name and that other girl! And Lindsay Bab, you kicked ass!
2 commentsBig weekend coming up!
Yes, that’s right, we’ve got 2 awesome shows planned for this weekend. Saturday it’s mayhem as usual at The Thirsty Lion, but then we’re back again Sunday night for a super set at 10:30 right after Jacob Merlin.
See you there!
2 commentsSorry, we’re 2 gigs behind…
Gig one: April 26th at The Lion. It was the first day of great weather in a long time, so it was nice to open up the doors and let the breeze blow all night. Not the wildest night of the year, but good times for sure.
Gig two: Boring Fire Department Extrication Team Benefit. Those are the guys who come out and save your ass when your car’s wrapped around a tree. Jaws of Life and all that good stuff. Our good friend Kevin is on the team and they’re headed for the national team championships in New York. The whole town came out to support them and The Remasters were there too. Unfortunately the weather man got it all wrong and instead of 70 and sunny it was 50 and pouring rain. And we were playing outside. I’m told the couple hundred or so folks inside the firehouse could hear us just fine, so as long as they had fun we had fun.
2 commentsKiss Brandon, he’s Irish! At least I think he is.
There are 3 words to describe Monday night:
Sweaty, Sexy and Loud.
We’re going to carry that theme with us through the rest of 2008 because, well, it just works. We didn’t get any pics of ourselves due to the rapid fire nature of our 90 minute super set, but I did manage to snap this one of the roto rooter guy who was called in because someone blew up a toilet. Well, not so much blow up as flush a “piece of clothing.” That’s about all he could tell us.
What happens at the Lion stays at the Lion.
