We did it for the children.
The Glencoe benefit happened last weekend and it was a monumental first for us. The party was shut down at 11pm by Portland’s finest. They were cool enough to stick around until we finished our last song, and even noted that they felt bad for shutting us down when we sounded so good. That felt good.

I’ve heard so many enthusiastic and positive compliments about you guys (and your music) since Saturday, much of it from neighbors who weren’t even there (still haven’t figured out who made the call to “Portland’s finest”). Nice link to the police bureau’s website, by the way! And thanks for helping all of our pitiful, I mean darling, children by playing at our fifth backyard BBQ benefit.
By the way, it looks like the Portland Police are currently hiring. Just sayin…
two women came by last night wanting know what band was playing…because they thought you were awesome. We weren’t home, but my daughter told them she thought it was something like “The Performers” and that they should come back and ask me. She said they were “old”, like my age.
